COURSE OVERVIEW

Tier I – Open Enrollment

Duration: 2 days

Close Quarters Battle (CQB) is one of the most misunderstood skill sets in the tactical training industry.

Many individuals attempt to learn advanced room-clearing techniques before understanding the foundational principles that make them effective. The result is often unsafe movement, poor communication, hesitation, and unnecessary risk.

RAVUS CQB was developed to establish the baseline competencies required to safely and effectively operate inside structures as part of a two-person team.

This course focuses on dynamic close-quarters battle with an emphasis on aggressive threat engagement, communication, movement, and Point of Domination (POD). Students learn how to rapidly enter and dominate a space while maintaining accountability of their partner, sectors of responsibility, and identified threats.

The purpose of this course is not to create expert CQB practitioners in a single day.

The purpose is to build a safe, repeatable foundation that can be expanded upon through future training and practical application.

Students who complete this course will possess the fundamental skills required to continue into more advanced CQB and structure-clearing programs within the RAVUS Solutions training pipeline.

WHY THIS COURSE EXISTS

The average citizen has little understanding of how to move through structures during a critical incident.

Most available training focuses on marksmanship or individual tactics while neglecting the realities of operating in confined spaces with another person.

Whether protecting family members during a home invasion, searching for loved ones during an emergency, or responding to a critical incident inside a structure, movement, communication, and teamwork become critical.

This course was designed to provide students with a structured framework for understanding how two individuals can work effectively together in buildings while minimizing confusion, hesitation, and risk.
