Most individuals spend significant time preparing for emergencies.
Few prepare for situations where they become isolated, pursued, detained, or placed under the control of a foreign entity.
Whether caused by civil unrest, armed conflict, natural disasters, criminal activity, political instability, or other crises, history repeatedly demonstrates that ordinary people can suddenly find themselves operating in environments where freedom of movement, communication, and personal security can no longer be taken for granted.
RAVUS Solutions identified a critical operational gap.
Many individuals understand how to respond to a threat.
Few understand how to avoid capture, survive isolation, maintain resilience, and continue functioning when events no longer unfold as planned.
CA/CDC was developed to address that gap.
COURSE OVERVIEW
Capture Avoidance & Conduct During Captivity (CA/CDC) is designed to prepare students for some of the most challenging situations an individual may encounter during periods of instability and uncertainty.
Drawing on lessons from military survival programs, modern conflicts, resistance operations, hostage events, and real-world captivity experiences, students are introduced to practical methods for reducing vulnerability, avoiding detection, surviving isolation, and maintaining resilience under adverse conditions.
The course is divided into two complementary components:
Capture Avoidance
Students learn how to survive independently, avoid detection, manage their signature, develop recovery plans, and move through uncertain environments while reducing the likelihood of capture.
Conduct During Captivity
Students learn how individuals respond to captivity, how exploitation occurs, and how to maintain resilience, dignity, and decision-making ability when control has been lost.
The course combines classroom instruction, practical field exercises, scenario-based training, and immersive role-play experiences designed to challenge students physically, mentally, and emotionally.
The objective is not simply survival.
The objective is to develop adaptable individuals who can continue to think, plan, and function despite adversity.

Students develop practical skills through field exercises, event planning, movement drills, and scenario-based problem-solving.

Students apply those skills during realistic exercises designed to challenge adaptability, decision-making, and resilience under pressure.

Upon successful completion, students will possess a practical framework for avoiding capture, surviving isolation, maintaining resilience in the face of adversity, and understanding the realities of captivity.
Students will leave with increased confidence in their ability to think, adapt, and continue functioning when circumstances deteriorate and conventional support systems are unavailable.
CA/CDC prepares students for advanced participation in the Asymmetric Practitioner Series and serves as a critical component of the broader RAVUS Educate – Train – Perform methodology.
