Many CQB programs focus on teaching techniques.
Few focus on teaching decision-making.
Students often leave training with a collection of tactics but little understanding of when, why, or under what conditions to employ them.
This creates an operational gap.
The problem is not knowing how to enter a room.
The problem is knowing how to solve the situation the problem presents.
2-Man CQB II was developed to bridge the gap between technical proficiency and tactical decision-making.
COURSE OVERVIEW
CQB-II builds upon the foundational skills established in CQB-I and focuses on problem-solving within structures.
Students learn how to analyze environments, identify operational requirements, and select appropriate tactics based on the situation they face.
This course moves beyond simple room entry techniques and examines the decision-making process behind close-quarters battle.
Students learn when speed is required.
Students learn when patience is required.
Students learn when violence of action is appropriate.
Students learn when deliberate movement creates a greater advantage.
Most importantly, students learn that tactics are tools—not rules.

WHY THIS COURSE EXISTS
Every structure presents a different problem.
A hostage rescue problem is different from a family rescue problem.
A barricaded threat problem is different from a search problem.
A deliberate clearance is different from an emergency response.
The environment drives the objective.

CQB II teaches students how to evaluate problems and determine the most effective method for solving them rather than relying upon a predetermined solution.

EDUCATE
Students learn the principles behind dynamic and deliberate CQB operations, tactical decision-making, and problem-solving methodologies.
TRAIN
Students develop practical skills through progressive drills, scenario-based exercises, and guided problem-solving events.
PERFORM
Students apply those skills within realistic structure-clearing problems where the focus is on making sound decisions rather than simply executing techniques.

STUDENT EXPERIENCE
Students should expect to spend the majority of the course inside structures solving increasingly difficult tactical problems.
Every scenario is designed to force students to make decisions rather than simply perform repetitions.
There may be multiple correct solutions.
There may be no perfect solution.
Students are evaluated on their ability to think, communicate, adapt, and solve problems as a team.
COURSE OUTCOME
Upon successful completion of CQB-II, students will possess a deeper understanding of close-quarters battle and the decision-making processes required to solve complex problems inside structures.
Students will understand that tactics are context-dependent and that successful CQB is driven by analysis, communication, adaptability, and sound judgment rather than by rigid adherence to any single methodology.
Successful completion qualifies students for advanced CQB applications within the RAVUS Solutions training pathway and provides a strong foundation for participation in TASC-I, TASC-V, and other advanced operational courses.
